To Whom It May Concern:

I have had the privilege of knowing the Scheele family for over four years. They were my sponsors while I attended the United States Naval Academy. During that time we had the opportunity to get to know the family very well, including their two dogs, SHADOW and Lucy. SHADOW brought much happiness to Sarah and Denis. He was much more than just a family pet. He was a friendly, outgoing companion, a dependable friend, and a true member of the Scheele family. He was great around all people, even strangers and those he wasn’t very familiar with. He always exhibited a harmless, playful attitude. SHADOW meant a lot to everyone that was a part of his life. Everybody loved him very much. SHADOW was always very well behaved and never acted in a mean or unfavorable manner. He was fun to play with and to be around. SHADOW could always make us smile and laugh. It has been an honor to have the Scheele family as my sponsors and even better as friends for life. SHADOW was and will always be a part of the memories we have of knowing their family. It is a great loss to not have the privilege of having SHADOW in our lives anymore and he will be greatly missed, but remembered forever.
